Kummelberget, Tunaberg

Se nedanstående förklarande citat ur ett av Länsstyrelsens beslut:

”Flera föreningar, bl.a Naturskyddsföreningen Södra Sörmland och Föreningen Sörmlands Ornitologer, föreslår att fågelskyddet på Kummelberget utökas att gälla hela året. Enligt uppgifter från Tunabergs Klätter- och Högfjällsklubb klättras det aldrig på Kummelberget idag. I och med detta anser Länsstyrelsen att det i dagsläget inte är nödvändigt att ändra förbudstiderna i fågelskyddsområdet. Om klättringen i framtiden skulle komma att utgöra ett hot mot fågelfaunan kommer Länsstyrelsen att se över bestämmelserna.”

Several different organizations protecting the nature and bird life have suggested an all year round bird protection in the area. Not like now, just parts of the year. According to the climbing club here, there is no climbing going on at Kummelberget today. The county administration therefore doesn’t find it necessary to change the prohibition period in the bird protection area. If climbing is threatening the bird fauna the county administration will see the directions over again.
